Moving to South Carolina ......

Hey folks .....

Tomorrow is the big day !!!! Or so it seems ...... we are leaving for Greenville, SC ....... for good. Leaving this dead, cold state of Rhode Island in search of greener pastures......thus, GReenville. Looking forward to being nearer to my Southern brothers, the great people of the South, and the warmth !!!!!! Tired of snow.

I've got a tablet with me - I'll be monitoring the board from the hotels, etc .......won't be saying much as I can't play music ....... but I'll be reading. If anything goes wrong with the board, Todd will be taking care of things -- and I'm in constant touch with my bros from here during my journey.......

I"ll give it the thumbs up when we land in South Carolina, and I can set up my laptop from there ........ nothing has gone right up here as far as the moving part, we are counting on South Carolina to have their shit together and there is no doubt that they will .......with any luck ( and we need it ) we should be there some time on Sunday........

Greenville is nice, one of the best mid sized towns I've been to actually. I know a couple folks that live there and am usually there every other year or so when Georgia Tech visits Clemson. I'm actually about to leave for Spartanburg, SC right now to attend a gaming con this weekend so I'll wave as you go by

I made a similar move from Long island to South Carolina (Myrtle Beach)in 2000(a few months before I met you at Powermad and my life was changed in regards to knowing great music not only existed but was thriving )
Be prepared for a bit of culture shock as it's a bit different from the pace of the northeast.

Finally made it to Simpsonville SC - just outside of Greenville ......... absolutely brutal traveling .... nothing went right, weather sucked, and nothing was working when we got here ...... had to spend 2 nights in a hotel because of this ...... we are now here in the South !!!! People are wonderful - traffic sucks, at least on I-85. I-385 is awesome....... I'm sure Glenn and everyone else down here can chime in on I-85 ........

Anyway - just got the internet hooked up ....... no music yet, system won't be up and running for another week ........ Alexa will have to stay in the box for now .......

Unpacking for the rest of the week - and getting the lay of the land ........ it's good to be here, finally ...... a new life begins ...........
