*** Nice !!!!! And finally QR and Fates together ......... on the negative side, now that I'm moving South - the 4 dates I had a choice to see them just disappeared before my eyes...... ah, the joys of moving South and missing out on some shows .......... damn.

Don't you guys remember the Fates Warning / Dream Theater / Queensryche tour from back in the early 2000s? Granted, it was square in the middle of the 'Ryche's "ugly" era, but the set list was pretty much similar to the Live Evolution covering a lot of the old stuff......Hard to believe they are touring together finally.

Sure, but since that was 16 years ago I think it's fair to say they're well due for another round.

O town !
Love how all of a.sudden all these tours are hitting central Fla after how many years of Fla being basicly called the passover state(all the good tours pass over Fla)
Hell even Marillion starting their latest tour in Orlando was incredible

It's a shame they are skipping Colorado again on this tour. Fates skipped us on previous legs as well. Would love to see Fates again and Toddsrych would be nice too. Not the biggest Queensrych fan, but would be cool to see Todd sing those classics. I suppose I could drive to Albuquerque, NM but that's 5+ hours so not sure it's worth it.

Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
I'm finally going to get to see them in Minnesota again.
May 5th, 2001 was their last show in my hometown.
Queensryche I guess is just an added bonus.

Wait, you would actually go see Ryche without Tate?LarryD wrote:*** I was waiting for you to say that - with a big smile .......... Hope there will be a 2nd leg including Quebec City. Saw QR with Todd a couple years ago and they were awesome and would like to see FW live for the 1st time. Yes, I saw the Awaken the Guardian show at PP, but I'm talking of the recent version of the band.
People who know me are aware I was never the greatest QR and Tate fan, and I prefer the band with Todd on vox. Sue me.

***Now I do .... thanks. I think FW set at the time was limited to 30 min ? I think they went completely unnoticed during this tour ........ the big thing for me at the time, was the Labrie / Tate duos that came out on You tube .... those were awesome. I hope on this tour, FW gets more time and make a bigger a impact on a younger audience........that said, the age group for QR has to be our age right ?
Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
I do remember, I was there. I think it was the first Fates Warning show ever in Quebec City... I hope it was not also the last one...Sir Exar Kun wrote:Don't you guys remember the Fates Warning / Dream Theater / Queensryche tour from back in the early 2000s? Solid song. Sounds more like the recent s/t album than "Condition Human", which is fine by me..... Love the lead guitar work on here.
So glad to see 'Ryche "relevant" again.

Man The Machine sounds really good! Long live ToddRyche!
Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
I played this on my phone in the car ( thanks for the link T'ski ) and at first I thought - " this could be a Maiden song " ....... it didn't do much for me, but I have to sayu that Todd sounded great on it. It's only one song - so time will tell.

Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
I really like this new track. Todd is trying to sound more like myself and less like Tate in his tone and vocal nuances.
Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
I'm not impressed by any of the songs they've put out, nor was I be the first two records with Todd. They're just so average.
Re: Queensryche new album & tour with Fates Warning
the second song they've released, "Dark Reverie" is pretty good after a few more listens, the other two aren't. The newest one is easily the worst of the three. Seems all La Torre wants to do is wail, scream and growl, he has zero nuance to his singing.
