Bruce Dickinson solo albums

Post by GaetanL » Sat Nov 25, 2023 1:39 am

I had only "Tattooed Millionaire" and "Balls To Picasso". I decided to go for a full update and I'm glad I did.
I would say that my favorite albums are "Balls To Picasso", "Accident Of Birth" and "The Chemical Wedding".
I like also "Tattooed Millionaire". "Skunkworks" is a bit different in style (grunge) but I can say I also like it. I don't like much "Tyranny Of Souls". it is heavy (fine) but lack good melodies imo.

I also recently revisited a good chunk of his solo discography. It brought some surprises as I liked Tattooed Millionaire much, much more than I used to, while Skunkworks wasn't as interesting as I remembered it, and Balls to Picasso might now be my least favorite of his, though Tears of the Dragon is still fantastic.
His best work, for me, is his last three albums, which makes me quite positive towards his new project.

My ranking:
1: The Chemical Wedding
2: Accident of Birth
3: Tyranny Of Souls
4: Tattooed Millionaire
5: Skunkworks
6: Balls to Picasso
