I'm one of those who felt La Muerta was boring and sub-standard for these guys. However, I'm excited about this new one based on the short sample provided here, so hopefully it'll be as good as we know these guys can deliver.

Love this CD. Hate the packaging! It's one of those slipcase cardboard deals. At least put the cd in the middle of the flaps so it doesn't scratch everytime it comes out.

I've had this for a few days now, and it is slaying me. I'm sure it's not going to be as heavy as some had hoped. It's no Touchstones, but it's still very melodic and just wonderful. It's no La Muerta either, which would be good thing for some, but I loved that disc also. The Watcher...out!

I agree with everything you have all said ....... it's very laid back, and no Touchstones ...... but it is very good. Melodic, atmospheric, dramatic ......but it is very light.....even for me. I don't mind light at all, but when it comes to certain bands, like Subsignal, a bit of aggression goes a long way ...... here, it is pretty non-existent. It makes me want to go back to Touchstones.......

Despite being pretty light still, it does feel less overtly poppy than La Muerta and has more old-school Subsignal vibes and classic prog-rock influences that make me enjoy the album more. "The Art of Giving In" is a massively catchy song that really showcases the sound of the album.
