Aeternam - Heir of the Rising Sun

The new Aeternam is out slightly early and holy shit it's beastly. If you've ever liked Orphaned Land then definitely check them out. Epic Middle East-inspired progressive melodeath (I think that's the most applicable genre salad I can apply here).

It took another day for it to become available on iTunes :( Heck, for some obscure reason it wasn’t even available for preorder on iTunes and I’d been looking daily for the past three weeks or so …

Well, it’s here and BOOOOOM! You weren’t kidding. It’s awesome! They've turned up the epic parts, turned up the melodic parts, perhaps toned down the thrash parts a bit, but left plenty of the death metal in there (and I even hear a hint of CoF-style black’isms). Can’t wait to spend more time with this.
