PHILOSOPHOBIA / Philosophobia ....
Have we talked about this disc yet ? I'm sure we have I just don't see it ...... but, I just got it and it's great !!!!! Excellent melodic prog metal with a modern twist.....some old school prog metal at the core, but the sound is fresh and a bit modern to my ears......
I think it's a hybrid project, with the great Kristoffer Gildenlow on bass and a really good singer ........
And a beautiful haunting song .......
Really good stuff !!!!!! Good to hear bands still putting out quality prog metal like this ..........

I have been waiting to order this one until Ken gets the new Chaos Frame in stock so I could combine.... Along with the new Leviathan. (EDIT: Guess what JUST posted on LE???? Order placed!)
Looking forward to it, as I very much enjoyed the first single.

I just ordered this in my LE haul today. I forgot about this one. Should be pretty great. I also ended up with Vanden Plas, A-Z, Leviathan and Poeys of Fall.
This year, after a major slow start for me, is going to end up strong!

Loving this album..... Getting the obvious out of the way, the combination of the Wastefall vocalist and Kristofer Gildenlow does lend an immediate early era Pain of Salvation sound to some of this, but it's definitely not a POS clone.... It's not as quirky as PoS, trending more in the heavy end of the Wolverine / Kingcrow / Need spectrum of prog metal. There are a few brief moments in its heaviest parts that I hear a bit of Divided Multitude mixed in.
Top five for sure for the year.

I'm not sure I'm getting PoS vibes from the singer - certainly not to the degree that the first Wastefall disc had. Still, I find this one a little slow to start and then it kicks into gear and is 'chef's kiss'.
I'll be the judge of what's good and what isn't, thank you...
