Legends of the Shires was utterly brilliant and arguably, for me, the best Threshold album ever. This album is very much anticipated. The darker tone does seem as if it won't be as much in my wheelhouse, however if it keeps a lot of the sonic traits of the last one as Rich claims, it should impress me nevertheless.

I love the new single - reminds me of "The Box" from "For the Journey" although this isn't a mangum epic tune ... it has the same dark storytelling mood to it.

I'm in the middle on this one ...... I love that they are putting out something new, but this single just seems like a "single" ...... it's just a basic song with a ton of chorus in it ..... I would never judge based on a single alone, but I'm hoping they kick it up a bit for the rest of the disc ... I'm buying either way -

I think I'll just have to realize we're on opposite sides of the fence on what's good and what's not in prog metal these days :)

Lol … I do love me some Vanden Plas, but I don’t need the show on Blu-ray, as you know I’ve got no patience to sit down and watch a live show.
