Eldritch - Eos

Post by Sir Exar Kun » Tue Mar 29, 2022 1:35 pm

Not sure if any of the other resident old farts on this board have kept up with Eldritch over the years, but for those who likely missed it they had a new album come out earlier this year ("Eos") and I am really surprised at how GOOD it is. They've been consistent over the last few albums, but this one steps it up quite a bit both musically (technicality!) and melodically.

Eldritch has gone through several clear "eras" in their sound, but the recent block of albums does a good job of bringing in aspects of all eras into one cohesive sound. They retain the progginess of the first two albums (Headquake / Seeds of Rage), the quirkiness of El Nino, and a bit of the thrashiness of Portraits / Neighborhell / Blackeneday.

Great one this is. I have been following them from the beginning and yes that means I’m an old fart!

Well I'm an old fart and I stopped following them some time ago ...... Claus tried to inspire me to get into their "thrashy" period, which I couldn't ........and Glenn has been touting this new one as being excellent as well ....... I'll have to bite on this one ...... thanks guys........
