Ok, I just love it when two of my worlds intersect. In addition to music, I've always enjoyed reading. I've recently been reading Robin Hobb's Realm Of The Elderling books starting with Assassin's Apprentice. I'm currently 9 books into this 16 book series and have really enjoyed them. It's been a long time since I've had such an emotional attachment to the characters in a book. Anyway, I just learned that the song Hand Of Sorrow off of Within Temptation's The Heart of Everything is written about the protagonist in most of the books in this series FitzChivalry Farseer! I just listened to it again with the lyrics and yep, it fits perfectly. Sharon confirmed this to be the case.

I mean there is no shortage of overlap between power metal and fantasy literature, but I would have never expected it from Within Temptation.

So maybe everyone but me knew this, but I thought this was pretty cool.
