Threshold: Surface To Stage - Expanded Edition

Post by GaetanL » Sun Oct 10, 2021 5:10 pm

Threshold: Surface To Stage - Expanded Edition

Concert recorded in Switzerland during the band’s 2004 Subsurface tour.

First released as a single CD in 2006, now this new 2021 doubled CD Expanded edition has 3 more songs ("Freaks", "The Ravages Of Time" and "Fragmentation").

A must for Threshold fans!

As much as I love Threshold, I don't feel that those 3 songs warrant buying the same album twice, especially at double the price of the original. I've seen the band in concert multiple times, and witnessed all their vocalists, and Mac unfortunately was the weakest live vocalist of the bunch, which also goes to my point of not really feeling the desire to buy this again. Now, had it been a show with Damien, I'd be all over that :)

I'll bite if it's a blu-ray or DVD.

Got it a couple of weeks ago, not too bad at all.
I never owned the original and the money goes direct to the band, and the price is very reasonable IMO.

Saw them twice with Mac, ProgPower 1999 in Tilburg, he was terrible, drunk or high.
Then ProgPower 2005 Cheltenham, he was sober but I was bored by the band's rather lacklustre performance.

Yup, both performances sucked. The Tilburg one in particular was terrible. He behaved same way (drunk) at Rock Hard festival in 2006 (I think it was 06)….

But the worst thing was the next morning in Tilburg, turned out we were staying in the same hotel as Theshold and bumped into Rich West at breakfast.
He asked us how the gig was and we said it was brilliant...

Haha that’s hilarious!
Richard West is one of the nicest people in the business, so I’m sure he would be fine with you telling him the truth lol
