Stefan Altzar singles 2021

I know there are some fans of PreHistoric Animals here, but besides Mattias Norèn not sure about fans of Stefan’s solo stuff???

Last year Stefan released two amazing EPs, which he finally conpiled into one full length this year titled “Don’t Be Scared”. He left out one of the songs (I think .. he might actually just have renamed it) and added in another new one, making it a great cohesive unit.

But, or should I rather say “on top of that”, he has also kept himself busy enough to release a bunch of singles (5 so far) that seem to be part of the next album. All 5 are wonderful tunes that perfectly mix alternative pop rock and progressive sounds. My favorites are “The Wounded Boy” and “I Haven’t Heard A Good Song Since 1994”, but really, all five are brilliant.

Stefan Altzar is one of the most interesting songwriters in today’s “prog” scene if you ask me - thank you to Mattias Norèn for getting me into Stefan’s stuff.

Yeah I've been keeping up with all of his solo releases on bandcamp. Generally they're very good, though some are a bit light for my tastes. He's a consistently interesting songwriter.
