ACOLYTE / Entropy - great prog metal.

Finally some outstanding prog metal in our lives from down under ........ check out Acolyte, this great band from Australia that plays classic prog metal with a modern vibe to it ...... the band has a female singer, but not the kind we are used to. Morgan Leigh-Brown has a mature, almost husky voice that makes the band feel "mature" and not a young "little girl" style voice that we all know .......production is thick and crunchy, and the music makes you feel like prog metal is still alive and well out there somewhere.....

I've played the disc through twice now, and I've been saving this one for last out of that huge batch of discs I grabbed from The Lasers Edge ..... the wait was well worth it, and I've got another top contender for Top 10 of the year.
