Also known as “Norwegian Pride” or “How Norwegian Can You Make Your Music Sound?”, this yearly contest brings musicians from all across the world together in creating songs that sounds distinctly Norse in nature. And 2021 brings Danish contestants IOTUNN right to the front of the pack, with their incredible inspired blend of all things Arcturus, In the Woods and Green Carnation. Equipped with not only a Faroese vocalist in Jon Aldara (also known from Barren Earth and Hamferd), the Danes comes flying out of the gates with their debut full length “Access All Worlds” that is nothing short of a masterpiece in Progressive-tinged Black-infused Norwegian-styled metal! I think these Danes deserve a few blue lines added to their flag...
