Sleep In Heads + Orenda
Sleep In Heads - On The Air - 2018
Unfortunately a one album and done band from Kyiv, Ukraine. An interesting take on rock, metal, progmetal? with a great female vocalist. Violin used throughout which is refreshing.
- Track: "Blue Fear" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E14Bh3OBIj8

Orenda - Next - 2018
From France. Not completely convinced that I like the vocalist as he can be inconsistent to me, but the music is great. I hear shades of Symphony X in the acoustic beginning of the track, shades of Kansas and shades of Zebra in some of the strings keyboard sounds (Who's Behind The Door). Some ripping guitar and keyboard solos. Really quality stuff...but that vocalist..maybe he will grow on me.
- Track: "Minimalism" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmMWmxmTRvw

****Wow !!!! I never thought I'd hear about these guys ever again ...... nice to see they are putting out another disc. It's been some time now ....... On the singer, he was very high pitched and a little getting used to so if it's the same guy, I know what you mean ...... but as you said, the music was too good to let that get in the way.......Orenda - Next - 2018

The Orenda doesn't quite have the heaviness of the debut, but it's still very good.

Revisited Orenda - Tales of A Tortured Soul. This is a killer CD! I think it was my #1 the year it came out. IMO its stood the test of time very well. Wish I could hunt down the Orenda - Next CD.

These are both quite good. I've got both in my cart waiting on the next Bandcamp Friday.
