Happy Anniversary to us !!!! 16+ years and counting.....

Hey everyone .....

Just like every year, it's that time again to wish us an anniversary, but I'm not so sure how happy it is given the state of things right now .....At least we have the music that not only keeps us sane, but keeps us together......

The Perpetual Motion Board is about -- 22 years old I believe from it's birth until now..... this particular board, is now 16 years old ...... wow, what a feat.

To be honest, I've surely had my doubts about this board continuing on, and sometimes I still do .... but as long as people keep posting and bringing on the music, I'll hang in there as well .....

During this sad time that we live in - I'm sure people are going thru tons of hardships and losses.....if you still come here at all to post, to lurk, to laugh, I thank you. It makes it all worth to me to keep this thing going ....

And to Glenn and Ken -- thanks for keeping my musical fire lit when that fire starts to go out .....

I joined the original group in late 1998, shortly before I got married. Good God we've been through a lot in that time, and this board has always been there through it all. Although posting here has dropped off significantly due to facebook and other distractions, this is still the most valuable resource for metal and prog on the web, period. I've gotten so much out of this site and group, and I hope I've been able to contribute something as well.

I'm glad we have this peaceful environment with no ads to discuss music. Of course I check what's going on right now in the world. But if I want to discuss music without being disturbed by other things, I have this board. Thanks again.

i too have been around since the early 90s. i found the other board due to shadow gallery tyranny winning album of the year for the perp motion board. i can't even imagine all the great music i might have missed out on without this place.
