Hittman ... anyone remember these guys?
I liked the self titled album a lot and I truly love (still to this day) the follow up Vivas Machina, which was an amazing blend of late 80s/early 90’s prog (Qryche style) with a poppy/hard rock touch.
Well, the guys are back, and it still sounds great to my ears. Dirk Kennedy is an incredible singer for sure - totally on par with guys like Geoff Tate, Lance King, Rey Parra, Corey Brown, Ray Alder etc.

Cool! Really enjoyed those 2 releases as well. Look forward to checking out the new stuff.

Totally remember them as the self titled album is one of my favorite albums of the 80's.
New song is ok for what it is. Definitely has a QR vibe to it.

I didn't care for Hittman back in the day ...... while the singer was excellent, the hard rock vibe turned me off ....... I haven't played them in quite awhile, but I think I kept saying that it sounded a bit too much like Bon Jovi, though my memory could serve me wrong ......
I have not played the new song - but to me, it would be like Sacred Warrior trying to make a come back .... it just doesn't work.

Well, that was kind of their thing - Qryche prog w a hard rock twist ... if you didn’t like it then you won’t like it now.LarryD wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 7:55 amI didn't care for Hittman back in the day ...... while the singer was excellent, the hard rock vibe turned me off ....... Lol - that’s another thing I’d love to see ... Sacred Warrior was a wonderful band back in the day - especially their “middle” albums (“Wicked Generation” and “obsession”). They tried a comeback in 2013 with a different singer and that didn’t go too well. I believe Rey is back now though so let’s see what the next one sounds like.
