Voyager - Colours in the Sun

Mine came in uh...a bit early. I'm certainly not mad about it though. They'd already teased nearly half the album, but the other half is still great. Gonna get a solid listen in tomorrow morning while making the weekly menu.

It's so frickin good. It's possibly the most synth-drenched album they've done, and also one of the heaviest and proggiest. Their hot streak remains unbroken.

Unashamed fanboy right here. It took a little longer to hit the mark but now that it has...Woah, it's great!

First heard it in the bar at PPEU a few months ago but it wasn't conducive for a proper listen & came away underwhelmed. But after properly listening, it's a cracking disc and the magic that Voyager possess is still there in spades. Even 'Water Over the Bridge' or whatever it's called has grown on me when I first thought 'hmmm...nice riff but it doesn't really go anywhere' - I was wrong!

No-one else does what Voyager do & certainly no-one does it anywhere near as well as they do. They're a one off & bless them for it! :)
