Their last two albums both won honors as Album Of The Year from me, so I'm psyched for a new one.
This first song is good stuff, fitting right into the writing groove they've been on. I just wish the production was a bit cleaner. "Lotus" sounded amazing, and this is a bit dirtier. Oh well.

I've thought the last two were just okay. This song is fantastic. I'm not sure what changed for me but I'm loving this one.

Sweet! I've liked each album more than the last. As Opeth gets more boring after Lopez's departure, Soen keeps getting better.

Yeah, I'm sold. Nothing from them previously has stuck with me but these two do. Go figure. Definite purchase. I adore the video for Antagonist. The news report is genius

I got my promo for "Imperial" yesterday, and I've had two listens to far.
Even with sky high expectations, they've managed to nail it again. This album is even more direct and powerful, but every song has lovely melodies to them. It's a tight, controlled burst of Soen's trademarks, with a few new twists thrown in as well.
To me, Soen is as good as metal gets right now.
