THIS IS A TEST OF CREATING A CURRENT ALBUM LISTING FOR 2004

Postby Anakin » Fri Apr 16, 2004 3:29 pm

I am going to try to use this type of post for others to post albums that they know of released this year......please add your releases to this list unless they already exist.
The format I am looking for is:

Band:Album:Category(i.e. power, prog, death, B&B, etc.):Month/Year(earliest release date known, not by country)

AYREON : THE HUMAN EQUATION : ProgRock : 05/2004
EVERYGREY : THE INNER CIRCLE : ProgMetal : 04/2004
TILES : WINDOW DRESSING : ProgRock : 06/2004

CRISES "Balance"...

Postby Progman » Fri Apr 16, 2004 4:55 pm

This is a beautiful board, my new home!!!! Well, I finally started a "small" label and my first release will be Crises on May 4. I hope you all give it a chance and love it just as much as I do. To sum it up, it's very polished melodic prog metal. The singer, Russel, reminds me a bit of Todd Plant
(Millenium, Cryptic Vision) and the music, I have to agree with Larry, is like a heavier Ice Age, but also gives me the chills I got from "Images and Words" back in the day. All in all, I plan to do well with this, Enjoy!

Even though it's a live album don't forget Dream Theater's new one which is going to be both a CD and DVD release recorded at Japan in only a few days. Can't wait for this!

I am eagerly awaiting the new album of... Sieges Even. The album will be called "The Art of Navigating the Stars" and will consist of one 45 minute track. More info about Sieges Even and a Sieges Even forum here:

holy shit, best news I heard in a while. I hope this also means a reissue of Sophisticated so I can get the real deal. Either way, new Sieges Even material is more than welcome.

Jim Bob

I thought that you knew about the re-formation of SE, otherwise I would have let you know sooner. They played April 4th at the Headway Festival at Amstelveen [very near Amsterdam] in the Netherlands. I was there and they were great.

Their setlist consisted of all of "A Sense of Change" songs with the exception of "A Change of Seasons" and "Repression & Resistance" and
"Life Cycle" from Life Cycle. From Steps they played "Steps" and of course "Tangerine Windows Of Solace" They also played part of their new epic "The art of Navigating the Stars" and two tracks from their demo.

All in all their gig lasted 2 hours. It's was the best concert I ever saw! :)

O, and their new singer is great!

I heard about the show, but I thought it was just gonna be a one-time thing, I didn't know they were gonna make a new CD. I read up on it last night and I'm excited to hear the new stuff.

I've known about the upcoming album since the band's return was made official...it will be awesome. Here's hoping someone picks up the new one and their back catalogue for worldwide dsitribution (Sensory would be ideal.)

OK, so I am really bored..... And I mean REALLY bored..... at work today! Sounds like our company is going through a total liquidation, and will be shutting doors end of the year, and so we find ourselves with WAY too much free time right now!

So....

Thought I would find the oldest post on the board and bump it to the top! This one actually is pretty cool, as it lists a whole ton of releases from 2004, and includes a few dated pieces of info:

- Tom Argo pimping the Crises CD (which I bought from him personally after about a 15 minute chatty phone call)

- Sieges Even back together and recording, even though the album did NOT become one long track

- Into Eternity, Iced Earth, Ayreon, and Evergrey (amongst others) all had new releases in 2004, just like in 2008. Sadly, I like every single one of these from 2004 better than their counterparts from 2008.

- Dream Theater was just about to release a live album, just as they did this year. Even funnier: they releases one IN BETWEEN these two as well!

NO - Empyrios "The Glorious Sickness"
