This first song is out and wow. Cynthesis never really clicked for me the way Zero Hour did because it was just a bit too mellow, this sounds like the perfect middle ground between the two.

Oh I checked it out, great song, has that trademark Tipton brothers sound.
Went to pre-order the CD and FMS the shipping to Australia is more than the cost of the disc

If they Tipton bros are involved, I don’t need to hear a note. I’m buying. Saying that, great tune as expected.

I really wasn't digging the pre-released songs, and then eventually decided to give the whole album a go while working at my desk. It turned out to be quite fantastic. Hearing Troy on vocals was a really big adjustment to make but eventually the emotional weight of the lyrics sunk in and made everything else around them click. Dealing with mental health issues while waiting to come back to work really makes the material relatable and yet that feels like nothing compared to what Troy's had to live through. Musically it's very stark and minimalistic in the Cynthesis style with cold lo-fi production but very, very progressive in song structure, and though I tend to prefer the very mellow sections where the emotion seeps out, the heavy riffing sections anchor the music well and the drummer can pull off some nifty tricks within that solid framework. The bass is pretty straightforward, perhaps they're consciously trying not to make another Zero Hour, but it has its moments too.

This is an unexpected sleeper entry and will probably get a decent ranking this year.

I decided to check this out based on all the hype it’s been getting and I must say, I’m blown away by it! I couldn’t get into Zero Hour when I first listened to them. The same could be said with Cynthesis, but this is clicking on all the right levels. I went back and checked out Cynthesis and Abnormal Thought Patterns again and am having a much easier time getting into those bands.
Is a song titled "Everybody Dies" supposed to sound so happy?

yeah.

some good shit here,

some of it reminds me of ZH or Cynthesis, but some a little of The Contortionist and Anathema. The melancholy moods at points.

This thing isn't even on rateyourmusic yet.
