Organized Chaos - Divulgence

Postby Mardoch » Sun Jan 14, 2018 10:15 am

This is a wonderful album. I don't want to overhype it, but there are parts of it that call back to old Pain of Salvation in my mind. Lalic's voice is powerful and emotive. The music is sublime. And it's got David Maxim Micic on keys, which is icing on the cake for me.

The Man of Much Metal and I agree that this is an absolutely fantastic album.

Oh yes, we do certainly agree! This should have been in my top 30 for 2017, but I came to it too late. Stunning disc, which keeps getting in the way of other 2018 albums in the queue for review. I can't help myself returning to it on a frequent basis, it has just about everything. Highest recommendation!

I seem to remember someone from Haken mentioning this one. Just took a listen. Quite good indeed. Certainly hearing the PoS as well. Thanks for posting. Good call.

Richard Henshall does a guest stint on one track, yep. Glad you like it, too!

I hear the PoS, but I hear Devin Townsend as much, if not more.
I'll be the judge of what's good and what isn't, thank you... ;)

I'm going to have to play the whole thing --- I played the song Divulgence, and I did not like it at all. Definitely hear the PoS influence, but I found the song to be really dry and un-exciting if that makes sense.....

I'll go back and play more and hope for the best .........

Ache and Hide and Seek are the two best tracks for me.

Their debut "Inner Conflict" seems to be good as well... Didn't spend a lot of time listening to it on bandcamp but I have a good feeling... I'll probably come back later...

Oh man...I'm pretty tempted to double dip to have this physical version.

It's a bit less accessible than this new one, but it has many of the same traits and is a very good listen.
