PPUSA XVIII Roster Change

Postby Harvester » Mon May 01, 2017 10:24 am

As most know, Sunburst had to drop out. The replacement....

I am pleased to announce Brazil's Daydream XI have joined the ProgPower USA XVIII roster. After receiving the opportunity to preview their new upcoming concept album, "The Circus of the Tattered & Torn," the decision was very easy. The band has simply taken it to another level with release.

Daydream XI has graciously uploaded two tracks for the ProgPower USA audience to preview from the new disc. These will only be available this week to serve as an introduction as to what is to come.

Please join me in welcoming the band to the ProgPower USA family.

I have no stake in the game this time, as I cannot make PP this year, but while it stinks to see Sunburst not make it.... This new band is KILLER. I love the tracks posted. It sounds like heavy, crunchy prog with a Chity-clone on vocals. LOVE IT.

THANK YOU! I knew that vocal tone sounded really familiar but I was having trouble placing it. Yeah, the replacement act has already earned my attention. I'm still disappointed, but Glenn says he's going to bring Sunburst back so I'll try to subdue my grump.

Bummer on Sunburst. Daydream XI sounds like a respectable replacement.

Typically silly band name, but GREAT tunes. Nice choice here! I'll be following this band with great interest.

Better than Vulvagun, Edguy, or Bad Salad! :)

I had not heard about Bad Salad or Vulvagun, but I love the latter! Freakin' hilarious! Do they have songs like "Howizer Hoo-Hah"? LMAO

Clearly I'm out of the loop on ridiculously named newer bands. :P

One of my ideas for a name for my next project is Chris Rifkin and the Penis Membranes

Big blow for me and I imagine for many others too. Sunburst's debut grew on me and stayed strong. Since it's their only release I was hoping they would play all of it if not most and maybe one or two Black Fate tracks. But these things happen and I rather know of these changes sooner than later.

Replacement sounds solid. The show must go on.
