UNTIL RAIN Signs To Sensory Records For Spring Release Of Inure; Trailer + European Tour Dates Posted

Postby introclaus » Thu Mar 16, 2017 6:49 am

Greek progressive/alternative metal outfit UNTIL RAIN has signed with Sensory Records for the release of their impending third full-length, Inure. The band has issued some insight into the album, releasing a dramatic trailer, as well as the album art, track listing, and more. Additionally, the band has scheduled both European mainland and Balkan tours in conjunction with the album's release.

Inure was recorded by UNTIL RAIN in various European cities, including Thessaloniki, London, Gothenburg, and Lausanne, and mixed/mastered by Daniel Cardoso of Anathema in Lisbon, Portugal (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, Head Control System). The album features beautiful artwork by the new Greek artist/designer Nassia Kefala, and a hand-drawn cover that completely represents the concept of the album and the duality of many inured people; appearing lush on the outside, yet they are rotted inside. With nine massive tracks, Inure presents an hour-long journey that you will want to take again and again, the digital release bearing an additional bonus track as well.

Sensory Records will release Inure in Europe on April 28th and in the US on May 12th; an official digital single for "Because Something Might Happen" will be released through Spotify and other digital outlets on March 21st, accompanied by an official video for the song the same day. A trailer for the single has been released.

Issues UNTIL RAIN, "We're thrilled and proud to be working with such a renowned and well-established label like Sensory, for our third album. The list of progressive bands, that have had their careers pushed immensely by this record label is too big to state here, so let's just say that we expect a lot of good things to happen. This album is a sincere and natural evolution for us, headed in a much more prog direction, in the essential meaning of the word."

Inure Track Listing:
    Progressus In Idem
    New World Fiction
    Because Something Might Happen
    This Fear
    A Tearful Farewell
    This Solitude
    Butterfly Invasion
    A Broken Wing
    Inure
    Debate (bonus track)

Interesting signing. Their previous albums were pretty good and we're thisclose to making the leap to great. Hopefully these new musical relationships force the band to fully realize their potential.

Now, if other ridiculously deserving bands like Ascendia, Need and Iris Divine could get label support and international distro all would be right in my prog metal universe.

So bring on the Until Rain disc. I want to hear how they've evolved.

Thanks. FYI Iris Divine had label support and international distro. What they didn't have was fan support. Great bunch of guys that deserve much more attention than they received.

When I added them to my short list I totally forgot You'd released the debut. My bad, brain fart moment. Yes, they do deserve more and perhaps the new material will cement them amongst the prog elite where they truly belong.

I am excited for the Until Rain album. It seems Greece really emerged as a huge source of musical brilliance after so many years of putting out poorly received albums. Innerwish, Sunburst, Psycrence, Black Fate and Need all are recent favorites. Given the Sensory track record I'm pretty pumped for this.

UNTIL RAIN: Greek Prog/Alt Metal Outfit Releases Video/Single For “Because Something Might Happen” From Sensory-Bound Inure LP

Thessaloniki, Greece-based alternative/progressive metal act, UNTIL RAIN, has released the first single for their Sensory Records-bound Inure LP, issuing the track “Because Something Might Happen” through all major digital platforms, as well as through an official video for the song.

Running over nine minutes in length, the wide spectrum of textures and stylistic approaches captured on UNTIL RAIN’s exploratory new album are explosively displayed on the extensive new track. Boasting a storyline and visual conveyance as intense as the song itself, the video for "Because Something Might Happen" was directed and filmed by Charlene Mercedes, with post-production by Tolis Karoulas, and features special guest Venetia Psomiadou.

The members of UNTIL RAIN issue with the single, "Excited to release our first video taken from our upcoming release, Inure. This video represents everything this album deals with and shows the bright and the dark side of the human mind."

Immerse yourself in UNTIL RAIN's "Because Something Might Happen" video right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awpK4AoV3MU.

The single is also playing and the album available for digital preorder at iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/inure/id1217609332), and Spotify (https://play.spotify.com/album/39bbH9fnZA6pLxSp7VMiiO). CD preorders are posted at Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Inure-Until-Rain ... until+rain).

The opening was kinda shaky for me as I was listening for a discernable melody within the chaotic structure but the 2:00 mark kicked in and sold me. This is gonna be good!
