Quidam - for Riverside/Arena fans

Wow, I must have missed this last time around. Amazing warm prog, like a more melodic Riverside crossed with some British neoprog like Arena. Also sounds like fellow Polish prog rockers Believe. So good, I dare say, maybe I like it even more than the mighty Riverside.

I really love Alone Together. I haven't heard their other records yet, though.

Quidam are respected enough that their guitarist Maciej Meller is now Riverside's new touring guitarist. By all accounts he fit in great. But I think Quidam have their own sound due to the lusher and more diverse instrumentation that steps outside of traditional prog styles.

I remember owning a Quidam disc or two in the past, but it was some time ago and I don't seem to have them anymore. I'm guessing that the vocals put me off because thats usually the problem with the Polish Neo-Prog bands I've experienced over the years.

I'll give this one a shot to see what the problem was that I had with the band some years ago .........
