It's a fantastic record! They continue to progress as a band. If you liked Orvam, you should love this! Top 10 material for me.

Orvam is amazing to me and in my top five of the last decade. I just got the limited fabric book edition of the new one tonight but haven't yet played it. I'll get to see them in may with Ascendia and Evergrey. Stoked!!!

I got the limited as well. This is a stellar disc! Its early 2017, but this is hands down my favorite release thus far.

Huh, I'll be damned. I haven't liked any of the Need releases so far, but I'm really digging this. Singer has really found his groove on this one.

Yeah, Orvam didn't grab me, but this one is much more to my liking.

OK, with all the love this album is (deservedly) getting, why has no one yet mentioned the god-awful 5 minute dialogue "song" IOTA? I love the rest of this album, but this song is a totally obnoxious sidebar that has no place on here.

Its not a song. ;) They did the same thing on Orvam. At least it is easy to skip, unlike say...cough...Mercy Falls. ;)

I must have blacked out during that part..... Totally do not recall that one.

Yeah, it brought back memories of "Invisible Circles" for me.....

It is in the same place of the recording, but done better on Orvam imo.

Listening to this again today, and this is STUNNINGLY good stuff. Oravam was solid, but this is another level. No exaggeration: this is Wolverine / Kingcrow level good.

Will be stunned if this isn't top three by end of the year. Right now is my disc of the year, but with only two albums so far this year the bar is exceedingly low.

I'm right there with you. My fav so far. I fully expect this will still be on my top 10 list by years end. Though, a whole lot of great stuff is on the horizon.

Orvam was my album of the year in 2014, so I was really looking forward to this. My first spin didn't really impress me like I was expecting so I've had it in constant repeat in my car and yes, this is absolutely great, but not what I'd anticipated.

Where Orvam is super high energy with some eclectic arrangements and has an experimental foundation, Hegaiamas is far more focused and refined. You can tell they worked the shit out of those tuned really hitting every detail. Orvam was more free form.

My own stubbornness will still rank Orvam a slight bit ahead of this new one but both are amazing. I get to see them and Ascendia in May in Detroit. That will be a magical night for me.

When is that? I may have to make the trip up for that, as I have family up there still.... Hope it's a weekend?

Dude, Saturday may 27. Westfield, MI

I think it's at the Token Lounge. Should be an amazing show.

Four hour drive from Cincinnati but totally worth it!

If all is good with the social director at home, we may have to make the trip up also. I have in-laws up there so easy excuse to go up for the weekend. If so, I'll reach out to you before hand so can finally meet.....

Huge leap forward in sound for this band. Sounds like Nevermore resurrected! Both riffs and singing. Amazing album!
