Meshiaak - Alliance of thieves: melodic thrash

Postby Stevie WOnder » Fri Jan 13, 2017 2:33 pm

Here's a nice surprise for you thrashers. If you like your this stuff with a nice production, you have to give them a shot.

The riffing is excellent, playing is tight, they infuse some nice melodies here and there plus they know how to pace themselves. It's not all double bass stuff. The singer is excellent, some grind in the vox, nice cleans and no deathy vox anywhere for those who hate it.

Judge for yourselves:

Thanks to Guillaume for this one!

My pleasure!!

Very good melodic thrash indeed! Better than the last Testament IMO because of no death vox, even though his vocals are at times really heavy.

Still, the best melodic thrash album of 2016 for me remains ANTHRAX-For All Kings.

Nah on the Testament. Chuck Billy rules!!! This dude is excellent too though.

About the last Anthrax, I've never cared for Belladonna's singing. He's less wimpy than he used to but he's no John Bush who was perfect on The Sound of White Noise particularly. I'll give it another shot though.

This has the guitarist from Teramaze. Pretty cool but the vox are a bit too course for me if it's like that through the entire album. I'm no thrash guy but I'll stick with Cyclone Temple all the way.
