Solarus - Reunion

Postby Nos » Sun Jan 08, 2017 12:41 pm

I stumbled across this the other day, and it sounds like something that would fit in well here. I never know whether to call this prog or not (no, I'm not trying to start that debate again). It's modern power metal with some symphonic elements, some heavier almost djent riffs, and whatnot. It also features a couple guest appearances by the singer of Borealis, which is a clue as to where the band's sound lies.

Here's a couple of tracks on YouTube:

Those tracks are promising, and now that I've received the whole album, it carries through to the whole thing. Impressive for an independent band. I think right now it's only available at CDBaby, which is the downside.

Very nice, indeed. Quite a good bit like Fall From Grace era Borealis, imo.

Got this one noted on the ole buy list.
