For me, Dokken was Lynch all the way. Never listened to anything past Back for the Attack (their best, IMO). Don's voice blended in with all those California hair metal bands, so he was passable in the 80s, but unremarkable for today. Lynch, however, has an immediately recognizable style and sound....

On a side note - some of the Frenchies got to see ARena play in Quebec the other night, and they the entire "The Visitor" disc...... can you believe this ? They fly over here to Quebec, play that and then go home ...... unreal. The Frenchies said that Manzi nailed it - and the show itself ...

The biggest difference in the change of sound was the arrival of John Mitchell.
He brought a far more metallic sound to the band.

At CD Baby when it's a CD-R, they use to mention it. For example if you look at Néodyme - Le Guetteur. I have this and it's a CD-R like mentioned on CD Baby web site. When I look at Ostura - The Room, CD Baby says "CD" not "CD-R". It's not impossible that this could be an error ...

So I bought the CD version as well as the CD-R version ....... I need to compare these on my main system to be sure, but on my "first line of defense system" I can't say that I hear much difference........ I would have to play both back to back in succession, but I play the CD-R constantly...
