I totally understand this comment, because that's how I am with Dream Theater. If I'm reaching for any ...

Re: Kamelot - The Awakening

OK, in all the posts above we're missing a link to the single best song on the album!!!! Through 85% of the disc I was thinking.... Sure, yes, it's Kamelot. No surprises, but still loving it. EXACTLY what I expected. Then THIS track came along.... How I wish there was more like this on here! Still ...

Hey Claus, I know you are probably not into deathcore, but check out this guy's snare work. It's only the musical track, so there are no vocals The whole song is great, but even as an ex-drummer myself I have to say this guy's snare work is insane in a couple of spots in the song. You will know it ...

Re: Kamelot - The Awakening

I think tastes evolve either one direction or the other as we get older. Some people's tastes grown more softer and more into rock music as they get older and others musical tastes change genres completely. My taste has been gravitating more towards power/melodic and symphonic metal as I'm getting ...

Originally I was going to automatically place myself in the Camp B group without having heard a note ........ I told myself that it wasn't that I didn't care for Tommy singing in the band as if Khan won't do it, who can do it the best ? Well, let's face it - Tommy can. That said - I'm just tired of...

Camp A: More of the same - I'm so tired of this - the band has really lost me - I'd rather listen to Tommy in 7W - boring Camp B: No one does this style better than Kamelot, even if its 100% exactly what I expected - love it Where do you belong? For the record, I'm camp B all the way! Album trailer...

A Tribute to ABBA Random Nuclear Blast collection of songs from bands like Therion, Morgana LeFay, Tad Morose, Sinergy, Rough Silk etc doing ABBA covers. I noticed on Amazon that the new Queensryche has a 5 star average rating across 185 reviews. That's pretty damn good being that it's easy to be critical about them due to what's happened in the past.

Re: Queensryche in my top five?

I agree, great album! I just wish more people would give them a chance instead of the lame close-minded excuse of " I can't listen to it because it's just not Queensryche without Tate or Degarmo". If that's your attitude, then just listen to it as if they are a brand new band, and if one does that, ...

Re: Do you guys ever sell any of your old cds that you never plan on listening to again?

The only reason I don't is that I think finding buyers would be too much work compared to the money I could get for them. I guess my reasoning is that since I'll eventually be dead(I'm approaching 60), I don't think I'd really care about how much I'd get from them lol.... I sold my entire record co...

Do you guys ever sell any of your old cds that you never plan on listening to again?

I think within the next year or two I'll probably be unloading many my CDs on ebay that I no longer listen to. I mean since I don't have kids, it's not like they will be passed down to anyone when I die, so might as well get some income from them, or they will just end up in a big estate sale when I...

Re: Random Off Topic - Yngwie Jahoosephattt Malmsteen Appreciation Thread

If Yngwie is a joke now then he was a joke back in the day. The only thing that has changed are the people who are listening. Yngwie is Yngwie. Did he put out better albums 30 years ago? Probably. Is he any less Yngwie now than he was 30 years ago? Absolutely not. Disagree. Yngwie has always had th...
