Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

I remember Trivial Act being too technical for me at the time ........ Dead Air Radio I remember owning - but I got rid of it but can't remember why. Something about the singer maybe ? During those days - everything was about the singer to me .........

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

Yeah, this was a side-project that Lorenzo Deho (the bass player and songwriter for Time Machine) did, which basically was him getting his Queensryche-side out of his system, haha :) Great melodic semi-prog album. The singer was Folco, who sang with Time Machine on "Act II Galileo" (which is still ...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

I have so many of these in my back pocket that I'm curious to see reactions to. Let's go with... Dreams of Sanity - The Game Started out as light 90s femme gothic metal on Lacrimosa's Hall of Sermon label. But The Game is straight-up melodic prog metal with their strong female lead singer (Sandra S...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

The Barstool Philosophers - Sparrows (2009) Fantastic debut from this Dutch band, then they just disappeared for years. They did have a second release with a variety of vocalists but I just couldn't bring myself to get it after the original vocalist, Leon Brouwer, left the band. Maybe someone's hea...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

I have to admit I’m a little bummed out. When I saw the title of the thread and that Claus started it I assumed it was all about me. :( Nah, that would assume that you had been forgotten ... as much as I try you still creep up in my mind like a bad dream  ***How does he do that ? I ...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

Madsword - The Global Village To many Perpetual Motion Board followers this album holds a special place in their heart - can't argue with that. The MADSWORD guys used to frequent this forum back in the days, and several of the people here (Larry D, ~D, Ken Golden ...) were on a close friendly level...

Re: Guess who is back ?? Yes - it's SOUNDSCAPE.

I remember the name, but can't remember any of their songs. Also, didn't find a CD in my collection either. Must have traded them. I do like the new tune though. ***Paul - back in the day, Soundscape was a love or hate band ... nothing in between. Their shows at the Powermad fest of years go...
