Re: Welcome back everyone !!!!!

Nice Easter gift! Thanks a lot Larry! Happy Easter everyone! Maybe it's a bug or I miss something in the preferences maybe, but all popup menus seems to be opened by default and they hide some text under. For example in this topic, the topic tools menu is opened by default and hide a part of the mes...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

I remember their debut (Mattias did the artwork for it) and it didn't impress me much - just listened to the song you put up from this second album and it's a bit better than what I remember from the debut but still doesn't really do it for me. I'll give it another spin. This album "Psychomedia" is...

Re: Enchant: Please guide me

There's some acoustic versions I guess available on the new box set that were previously on the InsideOut re-releases, maybe some different ones. Bonus disc 1 of the box set is exactly the same disc included in the special edition of Blueprint. (Demos 1989-1992). I know because my software recogniz...

Re: Enchant: Please guide me

Tonight I revisited Blue Print. This album worth it. Thanks, I did not surrender on this band... I will give more listen to this album and the others... But I think the last 4 tracks on this album are a bit weak compare to the first 6. Maybe that's why the last time I left with not a so great feelin...

Enchant: Please guide me

I bought the box set that contains all the albums... This is not exactly this but just to give you an idea how I currently feel about the band. I think I need some guidelines where to put my effort... I have almost surrender... I play the first album "Blueprint Of The World", I like some tracks, but...

That particular show, Live in Tokyo 1985, I paid $85 for the imported Japanese version (VHS) of it because we couldn't get it here in the States at the time ...... I still have it. I still have it too! But I don't have a VHS player anymore! Now that the band is no longer with Tate, I guess ...

Re: Need some help to understand the meaning of some lyrics in the song "Into The Great Nothing" by Wolverine

Mardoch wrote:My interpretation would be "the things that used to hold value in life have changed." Most likely a statement on changing social/moral norms I would guess.
So maybe it is more:

"Values of life have changed. Now it's currency somehow"

Need some help to understand the meaning of some lyrics in the song "Into The Great Nothing" by Wolverine

"Values of life have changed currency somehow"

I understand each word in French but I'm not sure what they are trying to say.

Are they trying to say that the need to consume these days somehow changes the value of a currency?

Thanks

2015 – Zierler “Esc” Finn Zierler is obviously best known as the guy behind Twilight (early 90's) and Beyond Twilight (early-mid 00's), but here he is with his latest solo project, which unfortunately has already called it in again ... A shame, as this was a truly brilliant, and very original HEAVY...

Re: The great prog metal discs of this decade

I like this thread because (a) when it comes to music most people overrate the present and don't hunt down greats from the past nearly as much as they should (the economist Tyler Cowen has written on this) Only about 10% of my 2018 music purchases are 2018 releases... But I have to say that I still...

Don't you guys remember the Fates Warning / Dream Theater / Queensryche tour from back in the early 2000s? Granted, it was square in the middle of the 'Ryche's "ugly" era, but the set list was pretty much similar to the Live Evolution covering a lot of the old stuff...... I do remember, I was there...
