LABYRINTH - Architecture Of A God

I was never their biggest fan, but this new song is excellent, not too speedy, very melodic, great vox. If the whole album is in that style, I'm in!

THEORY - The Art Of Evil

Check out this new Danish prog/power band THEORY, featuring Nicklas Sonne (Section A, Evil Masquerade) on vox, and bassist Kim Mikkelsen, who played on the killer classic Twilight album "Eye For An Eye" from 1993. I think it's very good stuff. Album sampler https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Our only top 10 match is Myrath, but I did enjoy several others on your list. I haven't followed the Tygers of Pan Tang since the early 80s with Sykes on guitar. It's been so long, I'm having a hard time even remembering what they sounded like. lol Sykes would not have happened to have rejoined the...

My pleasure!!

Very good melodic thrash indeed! Better than the last Testament IMO because of no death vox, even though his vocals are at times really heavy.

Still, the best melodic thrash album of 2016 for me remains ANTHRAX-For All Kings.

As with the s/t Maiden song, for me, that Sabbath song is surely not their best (I'd go with a Dio-era song for that). But I agree it's an excellent song, and very influential for the style.
