VULVAGUN - The Painful Road To Eden

Yes, I know, their name sucks and is stupid... But don't let this prevent you to listen to this excellent band. This new album, like the previous one (2011's Cold Moon Over Babylon) is excellent metal stuff, a mix of melodic, power, prog with some thrash at times. Vocals are excellent, as is the mus...

He's certainly no Jorn. I think he must be quite special if a legend like Blackmore picked him up for Rainbow, and when a ...

1986’s “Rrröööaaarrr“, 1987’s “Killing Technology” and 1988’s “Dimension Hatröss“ I'm not sure about “Rrröööaaarrr“, not really good to my ears. Re: ARTHEMIS - Blood-Fury-Domination

I have two of their MUCH older CDs, and they were squarely in the generic Italian symphonic power metal scene. Pretty good stuff, but nothing remarkable. I know they went through some fairly major transitions after those two discs, and I was quite stunned to see them putting out new material still....

Larry is dead WRONG on this one. :) This one is a more simplistic approach than their other albums (with Subsurface being the most similar), but is the most melodically engaging of any of theirs. Check out the new album (their 4th I think) by the Italian progressive/power metal band STAMINA. Their best one to date (I only heard this one and the one before). Glynn Morgan has to re-record all vocals, otherwise it would make no sense...
