Re: Ostura: Stop what you are doing and listen now

This a STRONG album of the year candidate. It's Aryeon musically meets Epica orchestrally. Throw is some Beyond the Bridge atmosphere (with the male/female leads) and Symphony X grooves for good measure.

Unfucking real.

Lyra's Legacy: For all you old fucks that miss crunch & keys

Good stuff. Vocalist has a Zak Stevens vibe going on. Video says album was 2017, but it was only released last month. Full album is on spotify.

Re: My Top 50 of 2017

Remember the Robert Frost poem? "Two roads diverged in a wood..." That describes the musical preferences of Claus & I. I just cannot follow him down the gloom/doom and classic/retro path. If he mentions those words, then fuck that stuff. I'm out without even listening. That said, there...

Kingcrow cancel PPUSA XIX appearance

We regret to inform that due to unexpected private matters, Kingcrow has canceled their performance at ProgPower USA XIX. We attempted to work with the band on a solution, but it was ultimately best to pull the plug now to avoid further stress. Before folks start wondering, this cancellation has not...

This is incredible instrumental stuff. It's a blender of styles- djent, jazz, etc. It keeps the melody throughout.

I think this clears up any doubt who is dealing with the most demons in the band. Anneke replaces Lee just fine than...
