"Had this been a shorter album, I would have appreciated it more, I’m sure."

Nos, is that you?

This one slipped past me. Video was nice. Hoping to hear more of the Larry D sound upon further investigation.

Re: My Top 100 of 2022

This is a Herculean post. It's overwhelming, yet so damn informative that it should be essential reading for all. Claus and I have more differnces in musical opinions these days than ever, but I still find his thoughts well balanced and intriguing. It takes me quite a while to go through this thing....

Top 50 Albums of 2022

For those unfamiliar, this is my annual post where I put politics and label/band relationships aside. There may be a few weeks left this year, but I have received essentially all of the unreleased discs for the year I’m interested in. I encourage you to take your time with sampling all of the music ...

The singer is a combo of Jorn, JSS and Jimi Jamison. Freakin powerhouse. It's going to end up high on my list this year.
He is a Kent Hilli clone. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujuFpvgieOw )

And that's an awesome thing.

I still plan on checking out the new album as the first tune grew on me.

I enjoyed everything about the new song except the shouted chorus. That grated on my nerves a bit.

Big shout out to the Fia regardless. She does whatever the fuck she feels like. It's refreshing compared to the the normal boring prog vocalist or stomp-around screamers.

I'm not a fan of the direction Sirenia went with "Riddles, Ruins, & Revelations."

I disagree 100% on the Caligula's Horse reference, but to each their own.

Musically, the new album is indeed their best yet....by far. My only issue with the disc is they use a lot more "core" vocals this time around ala Protest the Hero & Between the Buried & Me. His clean stuff is great.

Pinnacle Point captures that sound perfectly, and I am getting more enjoyment out of listening to P Point than I am the current Kansas. Point of reference.
