Really looking forward to this one. I pre-ordered the HD version from Lasers's Bandcamp page. Very cool that Ken signed them.

Will be great seeing you and the family Doug.

You can't go wrong with those mentioned. Really their last 4 are quite good.

Btw Laser has the DVD in stock. Order placed!

Re: Sons Of Apollo (Portnoy's New Band)

I think many still have animosity twards Sherinian for FII (which I actually like more than Scenes).. If anything this could be a nice tasty slab of somewhat musical heavy melodic rock with great vocals Unless they fire Soto and get Yngwie to do the vocals 1 - FII greater than Scenes???? Wow. I always look forward to a new Redemption recording! It just so happens that The Art Of Loss is one of my favorite Redemption records. Nick, is Poland still your guy? Came down to New Orleans for some R&R .... Todd graciously played a disc for me that he said I would love ..... it's called Evership. I am blown away. If you like the band Mystery, with a twist of AoR and maybe some Kansas and bits of Queen, then you are in..... Random Axe, Stevie and Sir Exar ...

Re: Prospekt - The Illuminated Sky

Listening to this as I type. This is really good. Lots of great riffs SX style. I like their previous, but the singer was a tough one. They have kicked things up here. New singer is better, though not a mind blower. Band is super talented, especially the guitarist. Lots of cool syncopated riffing. G...

Pretty straight forward tune, but the beefy guitar sound and the vocals kick things up for me. Terrana's drumming doesn't hurt either.

Ya know, I've never care much for Anthrax. The Bush stuff was somewhat interesting. Anyway, after hearing several of their covers, I was quite shocked at how good some of those were. Not that i'm going to go out of my way to hear this again, but it is solid.
