Re: Zero Hour and Cynthesis members "A Dyeing Planet"

I decided to check this out based on all the hype it’s been getting and I must say, I’m blown away by it! I couldn’t get into Zero Hour when I first listened to them. The same could be said with Cynthesis, but this is clicking on all the right levels. I went back and checked out Cynthesis and Abnorm...

Re: Best place to buy digital music?

Digital Man: if you’re going digital, one of the biggest questions is going to be what is your source for playback? A dedicated music player or an iPhone or Android phone? Most aftermarket stereos offer bluetooth, AUX input, and USB input, but more and more are offering CarPlay/Android Auto. I recen...

Re: MICHAEL ROMEO - War Of The Worlds Pt. 1

I’m enjoying the first two singles so far. Gotta agree with the Sym X comparisons, but I don’t see that as a bad thing.

He made a remark about Djinn, saying “fans will think I’m insane” when they hear it. The only thing I would find insane is if he had simultaneously played nose flute and banjo.

Re: Maiden United - Empire of the Clouds

The Ayreon album in question is 01011001. The Binary Album is also an acceptable alternative. Why do you guys do this to me? Do what? That album title will forever stand as one of the stupidest ever because no one in their sound mind will be able to remember it :) Claus, I’m a huge Ayreon fan and b...

I wonder why Nick keeps doing that, putting the vocals so low? The vocals were also very low in the mix on This Mortal Coil. Tom still sounds great, and I have high hopes for the rest of the album.

Re: Yes - this board is now 14 years old .......

Glad I remembered to post before the thread disappears into the fiery brine below. This board has been the center of my musical universe in one form or anaother since I got into prog. I can’t say what music I would be into today without PerpMoand all of you, but I doubt it would be as intelligent or...

Re: Ayreon Universe - The Best Of Live

The one single thing that kills me here is the lack of solos. I felt something was off and I sudden realized it was the missing lead breaks when Waking Dreams played. That’s one of my favorite Ayreon songs, and that lead break is ungodly! Arjen explained to me that it his very painful decision to cu...

Re: New Kamelot single

It's already been said; it sounds exactly like Kamelot. All along, I've been more interested to hear Tommy on the upcoming Seventh Wonder album. Shouldn't we be hearing something more about that soon? We’ll get a single sometime after the new Kamelot is released with the full SW album coming in the...

I voted digital. For me, it's mostly convenience and financial. I'm on very limited resources, so proper storage, space, and playback equipment are unavailable to me. Then there's my damaged hearing. The format does matter there, but after a certain point I can't really tell a difference in sound qu...
