Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

Yeah, this was a side-project that Lorenzo Deho (the bass player and songwriter for Time Machine) did, which basically was him getting his Queensryche-side out of his system, haha :) Great melodic semi-prog album. The singer was Folco, who sang with Time Machine on "Act II Galileo" (which...

I have so many of these in my back pocket that I'm curious to see reactions to. Let's go with... Dreams of Sanity - The Game Started out as light 90s femme gothic metal on Lacrimosa's Hall of Sermon label. Again they are offering a limited 2 cd release which includes the instrumental versions of the songs. Good for some but I’ll be honest,. I have a hard time listening to the instrumental versions because I find myself humming or singing along and thus missing the great vocals of Ross Jennings. I the...

I added the band to my website in the neo-prog section. To me, "A Tower Of Silence" is truly their best album. It's like Sylvan's "Posthumous Silence". "The Second Hand" comes second. I don't care much about the other 2 studio albums (1st and 3rd). *** I'll check out T...

I don't believe we have ever brought up Anubis -- there are actually 2 Anubis bands ... the one you speak of out of Australia, and another metal band that I can't remember the origin. I've listened to this disc twice and I'm still trying to really access much of it.
