So weird, I hardly see anyone listing The Perfect Element as their fav PoS,disc.......as it is mine. I like Entropia, but I,like the next 3 discs much better....... Go,figure.........

Is it sad that I get more excited about David Gilmour live releases than I do for a new studio effort? His live albums are all must-own material, as they carry the true magic of Pink Floyd. I have never heard of this band ....... they are not on the "mainstream" radar in the Neo-Prog circles, so maybe they have not caught on yet or their releases did not catch many ears. Either way - we will find out together in October .............. :)

DT has been a bit meh for a long time, but IMO Haken isn't elite until they have an elite vocalist. Now, I'm not the sort of person who cares a lot about vocals in music relative to the instrumental performances, but I'm analyzing the question just from the perspective of "prog cult" pote...

As far as I'm concerned, Dream Theater aside, these are the best damn prog players in the world right now. I'm not sure I'd put Dream Theater "aside"; Haken might well stand above them even now. ***I'm sure you would find many who would say this ..... but I'm not one of them at the moment...

Prog power so far.....

...... Is Haken and Orphaned Land. Haken laid waste to the place.. They played the whole Visions disc and,then The Architect as an encore. Absolutely spell binding. Orphaned Land,was spot on as,well and,was a crowd pleaser.......they got the crowd going and Haken finished the job. Both amazing.

Without actually perusing my collection - and without sitting down and comparing discs - off the top of my head I'd have to say Wolverine / Communication Lost... there aren't many discs that reach the soul -- this is one of them........
