Starting off the new year with Excalibur and Soul Doubt.....

While I'm sure that the new year will start off with a bang when the new Kingcrow and Orphaned Land discs come out - but in the meantime, I had to grab something.....so I got these from The Lasers Edge: EXCALIBUR / Dark Age of the Dragon - I'm not sure I'd ever heard of this project before ..... thi...

Re: Organized Chaos - Divulgence

I'm going to have to play the whole thing --- I played the song Divulgence, and I did not like it at all. Definitely hear the PoS influence, but I found the song to be really dry and un-exciting if that makes sense.....

I'll go back and play more and hope for the best .........

I believe the guys @ Dream Disc were Brent & Brian? They knew I liked the more progressive metal stuff and they would say this one is your bag - the vocals do not start until about 3 minutes into the songs and all the tunes are 8 minutes+. I think you'll dig it. I never got into the Carisma - 1...

I remember when that disc was a big deal on these boards, but at the time I was a poor college student and had to prioritize purchases. Never got that one, or Payne's Gray, or some of the other stuff that looked "straight prog" to me. (At that time I was more into the Gothenburg scene.) *...
