I will agree with the comments that the singer should not go into high range, nor try to sustain same .......but that's kept to a minimum. Blah! Other than maybe the melody line for track 4 which is all high - the singers high range is fine. :roll: *** I'm sure that's the track that is turning most...

Dali's Dilemma demos when they were still Chaos Theory were better than the final album, IMO. Especially the far shorter version of Living in Fear. Digital Ruin did a 4 song demo for Dwelling in the Out when they were shopping for a label. I think they did this with the last live disc as well ....... songs were recorded all over the place I believe. I prefer the one, long show as well ....... but I'll take live Threshold any way I can get it .......

YES on Jadis -- forgot about that long running band ...... I was never a big fan although I've owned several of their CDs over the years ........ Also - yes on Evership although it's hard for me to classify them as Neo-Prog ...... lots of these bands have crossover appeal, with a lot of them leaning...

Don't you guys remember the Fates Warning / Dream Theater / Queensryche tour from back in the early 2000s? Granted, it was square in the middle of the 'Ryche's "ugly" era, but the set list was pretty much similar to the Live Evolution covering a lot of the old stuff...... ***Now I do .......

LaBrie is good, excellent even, when he's doing things other than DT. DT doesn't write for LaBrie's strengths. It seems like they write to spite him.
