Crimson Glory

For those Crimson Glory fans who may not have seen these already, I stumbled on 2 things the other night on YouTube. Official video for Lonely https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH3h0OS84tM and this 16 minute documentary piece which is great to see and understand a lot of the history. Although 1 bit ab...

While this isn't an Albums of the Year reply (would be kind of early for that, lol), I made a Prog/Progressive and Extreme Metal list recently on rateyourmusic and am going through on my YouTube channel right now. It's a bloated 201 albums, lol, but I am combining both traditional/clean vocals Prog ...

Sorry to hear about this. I definitely spent some time with him at ProgPowerUSA, including when chatting with Johan H from Pain of Salvation. I'll never forget after telling him about my radio show on KFAI, he just gave me a copy of his band's cd "Eye of the Storm" and he described it as "Trans Thra...

Gospel - The Loser https://gospel.bandcamp.com/album/the-loser Super bombastic Prog Punk. Their 1st album in 17 years and it's a massive deal for the fans of their debut album "Moon is a Dead World." It's already #2 on rateyourmusic.com's Chart in fact. https://rateyourmusic.com/charts/top/album/20...

interesting. Some of it does have a Superior vibe even beyond Michael's vocals.

I wonder if some the music was potentially going to be on New World Order given when it was released (and when NWO was supposed to be released).

Cloud Cult - Metamorphosis Never heard of them before, but checked it out, and I wasn't really into it. Definitely not a style of music I normally would listen to - what is it even? Singer / songwriter with a folky approach? Reminds me a bit of The Lumineers perhaps ... Marillion - An Hour Before I...

Here's my 2021 List I made a Slide show on YouTube, which the last 6 minutes have nothing per a failed attempt at adding an audio track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RhygDeGMrs 2021 was a thin year. yes, "New World Order" was the title I recall. Larry, too bad you couldn't upload it. Another example was the folky/proggy psych band "Fields." (with a period). "Hollow Mountain" was recorded and mastered, and right before it was to get released, the record label dropped them. There are many fans li...

Ours - Ours https://oursmusic.bandcamp.com/album/ours 76 minutes, 17 tracks. Epic as fuck. I don’t think I’ve ever heard about this band before. I’m getting a U2 vibe (especially in the vocals) but more “progressive” in a Muse or Radiohead sense. Perhaps I’m all off on those comparisons, but that’s...

Been a big SG fan from the debut on...... Television - Marquee Moon

took me over 30 years to check it out, but I do follow why so many consider it a classic. The title track alone is worth the price of admission.
