Re: Animal Drive - an Ark Burn the Sun vibe going on

Prog heads rejoice! In a comment below one of the videos on YouTube, singer Dino wrote this: "On next album we plan to go proggy all the way, we didnt have keyboards in the band on this album." Excellent! This is just plain good rocking stuff. I'll also buy it to just enhance the chances...

Re: New Stryper - WOW! ...

Never listened to Stryper before, but I had to check this one out based on the dragging it's getting everywhere. It's alternately generic and really cringey. I will continue my streak of paying no attention to this band.

My good buddy and festival roommate of several years is keen to catch the Gold Badge Labyrinth show, but he's not gilded. Any of you folks with badges that aren't going to see it mind letting him borrow it for the morning?

Aviations - The Light Years

More Berklee kids grow up and make prog metal. The grooves on this album are infectious as hell. I wish the singer's voice had more...body. But that's my only real complaint.

This is probably too modern for some of you *cough*.

Love it! Great find!!! Jorn Lande soundalike for SURE!!!! It's got more of a straightforward rock approach than Ark did, but I can certainly hear a similarity in the chorus..... That's almost my exact impression. His Ark-era Jorn vocals are a crazy close match in a bunch of places (super strong in ...

The problem with so much of the fully synth music is that it gets incredibly samey. There's so little soul in it. MBR is fun for a time, though.
