Re: Where's Andromeda?

They had a pledge campaign a few years ago for a DVD, but that's the last I knew of them. I'm hoping they come out with another soon. The only album of theirs I haven't liked was the last one, but maybe I should revisit it.

How many here did the whole PledgeMusic preorder thing and still haven’t received their stuff? I am seeing people post on the PledgeMusic site about it and I’m beginning to become a bit annoyed myself... Mine was very timely. I think about 5 days after the official release? I felt this way about most of the tracks on the Being album vs the EP from a few years ago. The EP versions weren't so fiddled with and fussed over, and they were better for it.

Re: Apparently Warkings wasn’t enough ...

I see a big difference here. Warkings is a serious attempt at jumping on the popularity of the masked/power metal genre. They are pushing it, touring, etc. I didn't care for it, but I don't think the label views this as a joke. Cash grab, sure. The other is just Christopher getting really drunk and...

How many years have you done this? I ask because I saw last year's list, but nothing before then. If you keep an archive of previous years' top 50s, I'd love to see them and mine for things I've overlooked. I have been doing it a long ass time on various forums. I never archived anything. However, ...

It's kind of a shame I can't force Ticketmaster to eat the cost with one of those free vouchers from their class action lawsuit, but at least I could still get $4.50 off.

Do you think some of the problem people see with Ross is his straight delivery? Because that's basically what he does: he hits notes straight, without any embellishment. It's almost like his voice is a sample played by pressing a key on a keyboard. It's very pure, and he never sounds like he's stru...

Think some of you might be underrating this album a touch. I don't think the loss of the second guitarist is really obvious. The more noticeable change for me is the diminished role for the keyboards. There's a more stripped-down, acoustic feel to large sections of this album, although _LFTM_ previ...

As for the vocals, I'm with those who aren't thrilled with them. I think his tone is clean and pure, but also lacks power. My favorite singers tend to be dramatically powerful. They can sing melodically but with BIG BALLS. Like Dickinson, Dio, or Warrel Dane. But I really like how integrated the la...

He doesn’t necessarily “annoy the shit out of me” as Sparky so eloquently put it, but Ross is one of those singers that clearly was a friend of someone in the band, just like that kid in kindergarten when they were all out of tambourines and the sole thing that was left to do was singing he was the...
