Re: Can't stop playing this Mötley Crüe song since a couple of days...

Piece of Your Action is indeed one of my favorites by them. Which they did play it live that night. Sure? This song is not on the Blu-ray. Also, like I said, in an interview on this Blu-ray, Nikki Sixx said he wanted to play the song "Piece Of Your Action" in this concert but there was no...

Re: Can't stop playing this Mötley Crüe song since a couple of days...

That was New Years eve that year (2015-2016) Me and Virtual Scott Mosher went to this show. They legit went out with a bang that night Now to that song and album. I bought this after I picked up Shout at the Devil(which to me an most others was their high point and nice hybrid of true/slightly power...

Its downloaded and waiting to be listened to. I'm really hoping the rest of the disk is unlike the 3 songs I have heard because to me they are missing the one thing that i loved about this band through all their changes, whether it was the early stuff, the heavy as hell ADHD through the electronic dou...

I have the album "Phlegethon"... Didn't click with me... I read here a Wolverine comparison. I love so much the band Wolverine and the album "Communication Lost" so I'm giving this Kingcrow album a try... Where are the guitar solos? There really aren't many. Kingcrow's guitars a...

Had this on in my room in Jamaica what little time was spent there. . Agreed with the 4 for 4 take. The gf really liked this as well(she is kinda spotty on our music it tends to gravitate twards the more atmospheric stuff and less the heavier stuff which means it will be interesting if we both like ...

Re: The Forgotten Heroes of Prog Metal Thread

Depressive Age Anyone remember them? For me this was one of the most “genre-pushing” bands of their time (early 90s). While only putting out 4 albums in a 5 year span this band managed to do a complete shift from technical thrash (think Coroner, Deathrow) outfit through a dark/gothic tinged prog me...

Re: Shout out to Prog Power attendees.......

Is it safe to say that Alestorm won the festival? Voyager did, imo. Far as I'm concerned Redemption/Sons of Appollo were the best 1 2 punch to end a progpower night ever..Redemption I won the festival. I basicly picked and choosed my sets..every set was a home run I watched Voyager Persephone Redem...

I have the demos from the follow up and they were heading in a nice blend of more modern grove with the technical style..then egos destroyed the band

The SANVOISEN post from last week really got me thinking about all those amazing prog metal bands that were the basis for all our discussions here - those bands without whom most of us wouldn't care so deeply for the genre. Those bands that showed us a window to more than just Dream Theater/Queensr...

Digital Ruin - Listen I just went back and listened to that disc. That was a disc that I really loved back then. However, listening to it now didn't really go over that well - in fact it sounds "old". We've obviously come a long way in terms of production since then :) I also feel that th...

Pretty different as you'd expect. The heavy section at about 3 minutes in is killer, although the somewhat technical solo is going to be hard to acclimate to. You can definitely feel Grudzien isn't there anymore and time will tell whether the world can overlook that. Pretty much my exact thoughts a...
