Mind officially blown. Only 48 years old, and dead of a heart attack. I saw Nevermore two or three times back in the day, and he was just as exceptional live as in the studio.

Love it! Great find!!!

Jorn Lande soundalike for SURE!!!! It's got more of a straightforward rock approach than Ark did, but I can certainly hear a similarity in the chorus.....

As always, great list and leaves me plenty of things I've never heard of to check out.

In short, I agree 100% with your number one, as that gets my vote hands-down also.

Kudos, sir.....

It's amazing when something like this comes along how it reminds you just how few bands/albums are actually fun these days, in the rock and metal scenes. I'm not saying you need to be fun to be good (my current #1 for the year isn't fun in the slightest), but it does seem to be a vast minority. I t...

Album of the year right here. I have had played it a few times on and off for the last couple weeks, and something just CLICKED last night where it all fell into place. Perfect combination of the heaver prog elements of old Pain of Salvation, just a bit of technical wankery ala Dream Theater, and sm...

Made it through the rest of the disc on the drive home. The songwriting on the album is fine, but the tones they used and the way they mixed it makes it sound like proggy lounge music.... Somehow I expect to hear the singer break into scat at any moment throughout the disc. Glad to see others enjoyi...

Re: Soul Secret - new single and album

I am not getting the love for this disc.... AT ALL. It feels very disjointed, very clunky, very light in parts and very djenty in others..... The dialogue is atrocious and unnecessary.

I dunno. I'm trying to get through it again right now, but this is not working for me one bit right now.

Is it sad that I get more excited about David Gilmour live releases than I do for a new studio effort? His live albums are all must-own material, as they carry the true magic of Pink Floyd. His new solo material is still just a shell of that.
